In this article, I will share the steps to conduct an interview with two personalities, exploring the key techniques to produce engaging and informative content for your audience.

To illustrate these steps, I will use as an example an interview produced by Bendita Filmes, in which we captured Alfonso Garcia, former CEO of the World Bank, and Cristina Junqueira, co-founder of NuBank.

1- Research and Preparation: Understand the Context

Before anything else, it's essential to conduct thorough research on the institutions and their leaders. Understanding their purposes, tone, and values will help shape the direction of the interview. Additionally, it's important to follow the color palette and develop an aesthetic that aligns with the portrayed environment.

2- Script and Questions: Create a Captivating Narrative

In the script, define the questions that will guide the interview. Create a logical narrative that fits the addressed context and meets your audience's expectations. It's crucial that the technical script be approved by the client before filming to avoid unwanted surprises.

3- Team Selection: Find Compatible Professionals

After defining the previous steps, choose the team that will be part of the filming. Select professionals who fit the project's profile and demand. The compatibility between the team and the client is crucial to ensure that the final video meets the client's needs and desires.

4- Execution and Editing: Turn Ideas into Reality

During filming, maintain focus on the direction established by the script. Explore different angles and filming techniques to capture the essence of the interview. In editing, work meticulously to refine the content, adding visual and auditory elements that enhance the viewer's experience.

5- Distribution and Promotion: Expand the Reach of Your Content

After completing the interview, it's time to share it with the world. Utilize the appropriate distribution platforms, such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn, to reach your target audience. Promote the video on your social media and engage the community in discussions about the addressed topic.

6- Evaluation and Adjustments: Learn and Improve

Finally, don't forget to evaluate the interview's performance. Analyze metrics such as views, retention rates, and audience feedback to identify areas for improvement. Be open to adjustments and adaptations, ensuring that each interview is better than the previous one.

Conducting a successful interview involves careful planning and precise execution. By following these steps and techniques, you'll be on the right path to creating high-quality content that leaves a lasting impression on your audience.
